Fuji's EnviroMAX Batteries
As the 2009 CES(Consumer Electronics Show) gets set to open tonight in Las Vegas, Fuji’s new environmentally friendly alkaline batteries continue to generate all sorts of buzz throughout the industry. Fuji is hoping their EnviroMAX disposable battery will be the new standard as fas going green is concerned, and anyone interested in seeing just what all the hype is about can check them out in the Sustainable Planet exhibit at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
For those who won’t be in Sin City to attend the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, Fuji is boasting the new EnviroMAX batteries as being green in every sense of the word. Everything from the manufacturing plant where the EnviroMAX is being created, the packaging that holds the batteries, to the batteries themselves are being touted as environmentally friendly and either recyclable or made out of recycled material. Want some more? Not only are the EnviroMAX more eco-friendly, but they are being said to last up to 13% longer than typical alkaline batteries. That means on top of being harmless to the earth once they make it to the landfill, it takes them longer to show up to end up there in the first place.
As the EnviroMAX batteries make their way to store shelves, let’s hope they live up to all of their hype. If they do, it looks like Fuji may have just set a new standard for eco-friendly batteries.
The EnviroMAX will be available in AA, AAA, C and D models.
