wahlYou can now count electric razors among the multitude of devices and products being powered by Lithium-Ion batteries. With the batteries featured by most wireless shavers being notoriously weak, Wahl designed a new set of trimmers aimed to remedy the issue. Wahl calls it the “Lithium Ion Trimmer” and, according to Wahl, it’s the first-ever grooming device with Lithium-Ion technology.

So what advantages does Lithium Ion technology bring to electric shavers? Wahl claims that the Lithium Ion Trimmer will run 3-times longer when compared to trimmers that use rechargeable NimH batteries. It also only takes an hour to fully charge the trimmers, while featuring a 1-minute quick charge that will give your razor enough juice for 4 minutes of shaving time. Other advantages brought about by implementing Lithium-Ion technology into electric razors include 2x the torque, lighter in weight, and more environmentally friendly.

According to our friends at CrunchGear, Wahl is selling the razor directly for $49.99, although it’s out of stock. You can also get the Wahl Lithium Ion Trimmers on Amazon for $10 and in-stock, though, with coupon code WAHLJUN9.
