battery-powered-socksThroughout most of the northern hemisphere, the cold winter season has many eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring and the warmer temperatures that come with it. Unfortunately, there’s still some time left before the snow and cold give way to sunshine and heat. For those who are super sensitive to frigid air and find themselves permanently chilled to the bone this time of year, battery-powered socks may be something to consider until the mercury begins to rise once again.

Tokyo-based Bionics Japan is selling a product called the Heat Socks EX Battery Set. The Heated Socks EX differentiates itself from other battery-powered socks by distributing warmth evenly through the entire foot instead of just heating specific areas of the feet. The socks are powered by lithium ion battery packs and Bionics Japan says the socks can be worn by both men and women and that the system is designed so you can wear it to any clothes you like.

The cost to keep your toes warm isn’t exactly wallet-friendly however, as the system will run you a cool $265. To find out more about the Heat Socks EX Battery Set, click here-
